Manila Socialism Conference, November 29, UP Solair, QC

-- Its industrialization and labor policies
-- Other major aspects of its governmental platform
-- Its environment policy
-- In the light of youth and students increasing participation in today's rallies, there will also be a discussion on the prospects of youth upsurge today, the pertinent issues and strategies.
There will be speakers and panelists on the above listed topics.

Marcos gets hero status courtesy of ND Left's main ally

Marcos had not a small number of people from the Left abused and killed. Now the country's main Left formation, the Communist Party of the Philippines, is Duterte's ally. (The CPP has as of now not issued a condemnation of the SC, when it would have done so faster than Quicksilver under previous admins.)

This afternoon, the same day the SC made its ruling, Duterte was introduced on the stage by Judy Taguiwalo. moments later, on the same platform, Duterte would comment on Leni Robredo's short skirts during cabinet meetings.

The Left is dead. Live long, the Left!!!

SWS reports historical low in poverty rate (or 42% of families)

Most probably still as a result of the policies of the past administration, SWS reports self-rated poverty by Filipino families at 42%. As the survey company happily reports: "This bettered the previous record-low of 43% in March 1987 and also in March 2010."

A country with 42% of families reporting being poor is not exactly good news, but is at least more truthful statistic compared with what the PSA offers for this data point (they don't do it in the "self-reported" manner).
